    arrived broken 😭

    received this today…finally I’ll be able to dry my starched hats…not so much…it arrived broken in an undamaged box inside another undamaged shipping box…the inner box is clearly the wrong size…the legs of the rack fit very tight with no room for padding to prevent this type of damaged…thought about returning it but I’ll use some nuts and bolts and make it stronger than the mfg did…it does fit my Kenmore dryer

    Buy As Parts For Build (Or Fix) Your Own

    Like many others, mine arrived with the front piece broken off. The two plastic pegs are an obvious stress concentration (a design flaw). However, I was half expecting this to happen. I will use the pieces as a build-my-own dryer rack kit.

    Overpriced

    Unfortunately I must join the other reviewers to point out that this item could be made better especially considering the price. Mine did arrive broken and we had to do as others and screw the front legs on.

    Was broken when I received it – I repaired it – see photos

    The unit was broken when I received it. If you look at the photo, you can see where I drilled a hole and secured it with a bolt & nut. I had read that these break easily, so I knew I would have to repair it. However, mine arrived broken. I am kind of glad it arrived broken because it allowed me to repair the thing and make it stronger. It would not be good to have this break in the dryer. The plastic where it broke is a really weak point in the plastic and I am certain it would probably have broken in the dryer, eventually. After I bolted it back together, I actually added a tie strap on each end (not shown in the pics).

    It arrived with both legs broken off, which is exactly why I am purchasing a new one in the first place, my old one’s legs broke off. They need to add screws to the legs!

    I still wonder how it works …

    I still wonder how it works …Several months ago I acquired this product in appearance was the perfect solution to dry my running shoes and bags in the dryer delicate … been more than three months since I wrote the seller to explain to me how to use it because it does not bring any instruction on how to be accommodated in the dryer and even though I tried many ways to insert it was impossible. So what I wonder Unco still if I cheated or seller does not know how it works hahaha.

    Model number of the dryer didn’t have the E like the rack’s description states

    Fit well in my 7 cu ft Whirlpool dryer. Model number of the dryer didn’t have the E like the rack’s description states, but it has the two dimples in the back, was the right depth, and had little ledges just inside the door for the rack’s front feet. Used it to dry shoes and it worked great (helps to take out the inner soles if you can)

    Does the best job for sneakers and other things the need drying …

    New washer did not come with one, used the one from old washer and it fit perfectly till it finally gave up the ghost, this was the exact replacement. Does the best job for sneakers and other things the need drying (without the tumbling).

    This is the required dryer rack for my dryer – the design is flawed. Having said that, the item was delivered quickly and I would buy from and recommend this supplier in the future.

    Fell apart the first time I used it

    The dryer rack wasn’t even able to support one nearly dry bed pillow and came crashing down, breaking apart almost instantly. I have since reglued its legs back on and fixed the cracked spring housing(which was cracked upon receipt). Maybe I’ll try it without anything on it at all. But then, what would the point of that be? Was really looking forward to using a dryer rack during wet winter weather.

    Broke on first use.

    This broke after 30 seconds in dryer. It fit. All was good. Laid one delicate item on rack , started dryer snd after about 5 spins you could hear the crashing. Couldn’t even have a second attempt as it just simply broke!!!!!!

    received product already broken

    just received this dryer rack today, and the legs were already broken off when i took it out of the box. i have e-mailed laundrydoc where i purchased it from and i am waiting to hear from them. i would not recommend this product, since it could not even make it to my house in one piece!

    Too late to return it and it’s completely useless!! Buyers beware

    Big purchase mistake. When this item arrived, I thought it was two pieces. When I went to use it a week later, it turns out it was broken (the front two legs were broken off and not just needing to be snapped in). Too late to return it and it’s completely useless!! Buyers beware.

    Product works just fine, as expected. As usual, Amazon.com is a pretty reliable source to shop. The rack fits right into my dryer the same as the original rack which came with the dryer. Can’t ask for any more than that!

    Arrived broken, wouldn’t have worked anyway.

    Didn’t realize a piece was snapped off the leg until the box had been discarded, so we couldn’t return it. But it wouldn’t have mattered if it wouldn’t have been broken – it didn’t fit our Whirlpool dryer even though we checked the specs. Very disappointed.

    Broken upon arrival

    Amazon is great. However, the manufacturer packs this in a very small box to the point is has no cushion and the legs punched thru the box. Amazon shipped a replacement and it was broken as well. Amazon refunded my money promptly.

    Great product and reasonably priced. Needed it to dry my son’s running shoes. Letting them tumble dry broke the dryer belt twice.

    BROKEN – seems to a common issue

    rack fits many Kenmore & Whirlpool 7 cu ft dryers – excellent!

    This is the correct rack for our model Kenmore 110.75132412 aka 75132 7.0 cu ft dryer.Our dryer’s drum is typical of many Kenmore & Whirlpool dryers. It has the dimples in rear of drum spaced 4.5″ apart. The rack fits *many* dryers because that drum is widely used. The photo in the review by Luis Sánchez is a helpful guide. Although his dryer is a different model than ours, since our drums match, the rack fits.(I suggest seller remove a statement from its listing: “Dryers with an “E” after the numbers in the model number” is not accurate.The model number does not necessarily have an “E” to be compatible with this factory dryer rack.)If you are unsure of your model dryer’s compatibility with this rack, simply write the seller first & provide your complete model number taken from the label in front of the drum wall after opening the door. The seller responded quickly to us to confirm our dryer’s fit was correct, so we ordered with confidence.The rack fits & works fine for shoes, sweaters, hats, etc.! The two spring-loaded tabs that fit in the rear dimples are the most fragile component, but they won’t break easily unless you are rough handling & storing the rack, or if you drop it. Because of comments here stating the rack easily breaks, as soon as we received ours I purposefully tested the spring tabs by firmly bending them. I was happy to see they were sturdy, and I would have had to use a far greater amount of force to damage them.If these spring tabs on your rack broke prematurely despite your handling with reasonable care, I strongly suggest you were shipped a rack with a manufacturing defect. That is never your fault, and you could have reported this to the vendor for a replacement. You might still be able to request an exchange if it has not been too long.

    Totally Awesome!!!!!…… for about a day.

    Dryer racks. They are only meant to do one thing, and that is to sit inside of your dryer and hold stuff while your dryer runs. Sounds simple, right? You would think so, but no. Apparently, sitting stationary in one place is too much to ask of this particular dryer rack because after one use, the front legs broke off. I wasn’t drying a bowling ball, mind you. Just a purse. No, not my purse. A woman’s purse. And I know that these things can get pretty heavy considering that many women like to carry around about a thousand things inside of their purses, you know, just in case they need to write some checks in the event that their debit and credit cards fail to scan or they need to re-apply some make up every 10 minutes or they need to spontaneously drive to Vermont to let their sister’s dog out. Why else would she need to carry those keys around with her? But I digress, this was in fact an empty purse which still managed to exceed the maximum rated weight capacity of this dryer rack; apparently about 3 ounces. Upon further examination of the dryer rack, I found what can only be described as a flawed design. The section of plastic connecting the rack and the legs is very thin, so of course it’s going to break there. Remember that saying about a chain only being as strong as its weakest link? Same principle here.Now the bad news. If you need a dryer rack and have a particular model of dryer that this rack fits, this is probably your only option. I know that it was the only one that I could find. So now I’m faced with the prospect of buying a new dryer rack for every purse that I need to dry, which is a lot. Why so many purses? Well, that’s a long story and not really relevant in this review. If I ever buy another rack (which I doubt that I will), I guess I’ll be forced to buy this one…..again. But next time I’m going to fiberglass that SOB before I use it. I suggest that you do the same.

    Perfect Fit and Works Great

    This one fits perfectly in our jumbo sized dryer. (had ordered a previous one that stated it would fit, but was too small). The two spring-loaded nubs on the back fit right into the dimples in the back of the drum and the rack sits still like it should while the dryer is operating.

    This fit my dryer perfectly. I do wish they would make these a little sturdier as it is as flimsy as the last one I bought. But I really do enjoy this product in my dryer to dry the many tennis shoes in my family!

    WARNING It works, arrived broken.

    This product does work. When I received it broken, I glued the end back on. But it broke again. 2 screws fixed the problem. I did not return it because this was the only one, I could find to fit my dryer.Lucky for the vendor. I guess this is a good way to keep your customers. TRY YOUR BEST TO FIND ONE THAT WONT BREAK. USE A DIFFERENT SUPPLIER OR GO DIRECTLY TO THE MAKER OF YOUR DRYER.!!!

    Works perfect!

    Does what it says. Fits perfect to my dryer. I don’t get why peple complain about not having instructions on how to place it inside the dryer, or that it broke inside the dryer. It is foolproof to install. the dryer has two dents in the back where the round caps fit and the legs go in the front just behind the door. Mne works perfec, beng using it for over 3 months.

    Received the product today, packaging was undamaged, but when I opened the package, one of the front legs had broken a connection to the shelf. This is the second one of these I have tried to purchase, both of them broken at the same place (the first one had both leg connections broken. Whirlpool has discontinued the product.

    Use with care.

    I believe this is my third one of these over 6 or so years. They are not known for their durability. But, it is the only dryer rack that I know of that will fit my dryer. So they break and I eventually by another one because they are nice to use for sweaters, shoes,etc. Use with care — set it evenly in the dryer and place only light items on it

    This is good rack but it’s very flimsy

    I like this dryer rack as far as how easy it is to use. It can be installed and removed very easily. The only problem is that it is very flimsy. This is my third one so far. I broke one when I pulled it out and one of the front “legs” caught on the lip of the dryer. The leg snapped right off. I broke another when it slipped from hand and dropped about two feet. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is an alternative if I want a rack for my model of dryer.To be accurate, I suppose I should say this is my fourth one. I bought another one from another seller (they have a lot of orange in their logo) and it arrived already broken. This was because it had just been thrown in the box with no padding. I took it back and ordered from Amazon. My rack arrived in good shape because Amazon took the time to package it properly.

    Good idea but way over priced

    I got one of these with my dryer when I purchased it. They are very fragile and broke easily. I kept it together with duct tape & super glue for years but eventually had to replace it. Great for dying tennis shoes, baseball caps or other items you don’t want to flying around and bouncing on the dryer walls. YOU CANNOT HAVE ANY LOOSE CLOTHING IN THE DRYER WHEN USING THIS! Great dea – way overpriced [$40]
