Overheated, poor quality item. Not recommended.
Seller was not helpful or compliant. I had to request Amazon’s intervention 4 times in order to get my refund. The Seller did not send return label. I had to pay postage. Be mindful of 3rd party venders.

It ok
The touch screen is not very responsive. It’d be nice to be able to have all kinds of apps. Since it has the ability to have the useless facebook app and disney app it should have the ability to have HBO and google photos but it doesn’t. 20% of my battery drained overnight from no use and brand new nothing downloaded in it. Not worth 400$ I’d give it 150$ and that’s being generous

Great Replacement for my Surface Tablet.
My surface tablet finally died as well as not being compatible with Windows 11. Unlike the projected 2023 models this Surface Go3 was available in a smaller screen that matched the size of my surface tablet. It works great and is thinner and lighter. I have used it now for several months and am very happy with it.

Perfect for basic use.
This device is very limited by its processing power, if order to search the web you have to use Edge otherwise you can experience lag on the device. The form factor and the battery like is perfect. The build quality of the device is also superior. Just lacking performance for me.

Works out of the box
Does what it is supposed to. Easy , light, set up is super easy. Battery life could be lo ger but for price this is a great machine. Also charger is pretty specific so don’t expect to be able to use a USB with a charging block on the road without buying a new block with attached cable. Other than that, it’s great . Bo software or hardware issues

Pretty Good (For school)
The battery like is ok, but if you use it all day it will die or in my case reach like 15 percent until I stop using it. Seems fragile so MAKE SURE to get a case. The responsiveness is fine. It just depends on your internet quality

College Use – perfect as a main laptop
I was looking for a main laptop for college. I dont need anything powerful because I do not photoshop, edit videos, or code. I love the surface pen (not included) and using it with this tablet-laptop. Perfect for my basic needs, although battery life isnt as good as chromebooks that last 10+ hours. However I know it would at least get me through 2 classes without having to charge it. The keyboard is a must. The screen size sounds too small but its just a little smaller than a notebook, perfect for me anyway. The portability is what attracted me to this instead of the Surface Pro series

Great device, poor value
Several reviews (usually iPads users) have claimed, without providing any evidence, that the SG3 is extremely slow. If you Google the single-core Geekbench scores you will that the $399, $549, and $629 SG3 are on par with an 8th Gen i5 processor, Surface Lap 2, SPX SQ1, and SPX SQ2 processors. Now for the actual review————————————————————————————————————————-The Surface Go 2 (8 ram, 128 ssd, m3 processor) was one of the best computing devices I’ve ever owned. However, because of not traveling due to COVID, I decide to give it away to a family member who needed a tablet. When the SG3 came out, I was excited to test the $629 models. Before sharing my thoughts, I’d like to note who should probably not get a SG3. The SG3 is not for someone who:1. does not need Windows on a small portable computer-tablet2. does not plan on traveling with the SG33. just want to watch Netflix, browse the internet, and check your email. Traditional tablets(iPads, Android) that run smartphone apps can do all of these activities. It should also be mentioned that the $399 SG3 is for kids and pre-teens (just watch Microsoft’s marketing videos). For this reason, anyone who complains about the amount of RAM, store, and/or processor power on the $399 SG3 has not bothered to do their research and their insights should not be taken seriously. No one buys a bicycle and expects it to function like a motorcycle. Also, the only difference between the $629 SG3 and the $549 SG3 is the processor. So most of what is stated below concerning hardware should also apply to the $549 SG3.PROS:CPU is more than fast enough. The single-core average Geekbench 5.4 score is 986 (multi-core scores are for things like video editing, photo editing, 3D modeling, etc.; things the SG3 was not designed to do). To put that into perspective, the Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 with i5-8250U processors also have single-core Geekbench 5.4 scores in the high 900s. Both are these devices are currently being sold for a little under $1,000. It should also be noted that the 2020 SPX has a single-core Geekbench 5.4 scores just above 800. For these reasons, anyone who says the $629 SG3 is underpowered does not know what they are talking about.Battery life is outstanding. I get 9-10 hours of continuous YouTube viewing (40% screen brightness, battery saver and wifi on, dark mode on, all apps closed in the background). It should be noted that the battery life on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 I briefly owned with 12-13 hours (60 hz refresh rate). The screen is bright enough at over 400 nits. The screen’s major upside is that in a completely dark room you can lower screen brightness to zero (saving battery life) and still watch YouTube videos without any problem.Build quality is outstanding just like all Surface devices. The device is well-built and incredibility light. Kickstand stand is sturdy, extremely flexible, and rounded edges do not dig into your leg. Windows Hello is fast and works every time. No fan, so no fan noise. Love surface connect port because the magnet on charger is very strong, but detaches easily if pulled off. Speakers are loud and clear but could use a bit more bass and a bit less terrible.CONSProcessor. There is only about a 12% increase in power from the $629 SG3 over the $549 SG3 and m3 SG2. As such, there is no compelling reason to buy the $629 over the $549 or upgrade from the m3 SG2. However, if you own a SG2 with a Pentium processor, upgrading to the $629 or $549 SG3 will yield about 50% more processing power (per Windows Central).Price. If you add the keyboard and pen, the cost of the $629 SG3 increases anywhere from around $100 (open-box purchases) to over $200 (brand new purchases). This makes the final price $729 to $829. For that amount of money, you can get an open-box SP6 or SP7 with keyboard (bundle purchase).Screen size. At 10.5 inches, the SG3’s screen is just too small to use as a main work computing device for most people.Ports. No USB-A port means dongle life.CONCLUSION.The $629 SG3 is an outstanding computer-tablet. There is nothing on the market as small, light-weight, portable, powerful, or versatile. iPads and Samsung Galaxy tablets are not computers and only run between 2 to 3 million smartphone apps. SG3 runs 35 million Windows applications. SP and SPX are not as light-weight or small. Also, the SPX is less powerful, and most people doing basic office or school work will not need SP’s i5 or i7 processor. That said, there is really no advantage in terms of build-quality or processing power in purchasing the $629 SG3 over the $549 SG3 or m3 SG2. Also, if you need a main computer the $629 SG3’s screen is too small and it won’t be able to handle more powerful programs as easily as a computer-tablet with a i5 or i7 process. For these reasons, the $629 SG3 is a great device, but a very poor value.

Very nice tablet but for internal memory size
I guess the title of my review says it all. The surface go 3 has very nice form factor, excellent touch screen, allows you to download all kinds of apps from anywhere, runs quickly, and if you’re a windows user it will be second nature for you to use this tablet. Now, the negative, internal storage amount on mine was too small and you can’t get a surface go 3 with more than 128 GB of internal storage. Be aware a fair chunk of this memory is taken up with the operating system and all the apps you have already on the system and then those you download. So, you end up with not much internal storage if you want to go offline to manage all your photos for example. Yes, the cloud can be some of the solution but if you go offline you will not have access to those photos on the cloud. I could only get the 64 GB version and that was the deal breaker for me after I tried to download all the photos and video I wanted to edit offline.I downloaded all the google browser software and associated apps and it worked great. No hassle with the download and making Chrome my default browser. Just a preference for me. I was also able to download eM Client to help manage my gmail much more effortlessly than the gmail app. If you have some niggling issues with the gmail app and you can download eM Client on your system, do it. You will have a much nicer email experience with eM Client managing all your gmail for you.One other note, if you want to get the maximum internal memory you will pay much more for it, if and when you can find that version. After my experience with the product cost with 64 GB and seeing what the 128 GB version costs I would not purchase the surface go 3. There are quite a few tablets out there that have more internal storage or additional storage you can add that cost much less then the surface go 3 and work extremely well.

A NICE ALTERNATIVE BUT CERTAINLY NOT AN iPAD
I really like the Apple brand. From iPhones to iPads, they are amazing products in quality and design. In my case, I wanted to bring in a Windows 11 product. Treat it more like a laptop and not a tablet and I especially wanted speed with a responsive touchscreen.128GB is way too small yet Microsoft has chosen this as their max storage for the Surface Go 3. Yes, you can plug in extra storage via the USB-C port but this unit comes with nearly nothing in the way of ports so real estate is valuable in port displacement. As of April 2023, Amazon shows this with a MICRO SD PORT/SLOT. You’ll never find it BUT…. It’s located inside or behind the kickstand on the tablet. The weight of the tablet is fabulous in design. It’s thin and way too easy to carry around. In my case, my unit has LTE in case I can’t find a internet connection. LTE will connect me to cell phone access via e-SIM or a physical sim card (i.e. T-Mobile). The tablet also comes loaded with other carrier choices for LTE.The screen is weak. Brightness is compromised and I had to go into SETTINGS and take it up to 80%. Impossible for outdoor use.On the other hand, the touchscreen is responsive. Feedback is quick and of course I purchased it with a Intel 3 processor. You can add one of two styles of a type keyboard to the unit and that is where the Surface Go 3 really starts to move and handle like a BMW! It’s an excellent keyboard with a perfect fit. It weighs nothing. It disconnects with ease via a magnet. The tablet has a rear kickstand and its excellent and ideal for a airplane tray table.APPS come from the Microsoft Store and while not on-par with Apple choices, there are great choices as well. So, my only real negative observation of the Surface Go 3 is the screen quality for brightness, pixel quality and impossible use outdoors in the sun or for that matter any daylight. It’s just a tablet. Yet it is perfect for those on-the-go. It beats out any Apple keyboard in design and ease. It loses it for screen quality up against Apple but runs circles around any Samsung or Kindle tablet. My use will be on airplanes, in hotel rooms and sometimes in the car while driving. Thus it is a perfect choice for those use factors.

So Slow it Hurts
I got the i3 8GB memory 128GB SSD Platinum version, which at the time of this review is the top of the line model sold on Amazon.THE GOODIt’s physically beautiful. It’s sleek, thin, lightweight. The glass feels great and the back looks amazing. Probably the best looking Microsoft product I’ve seen.I was very happy to be able to get a very small tablet that ran a real operating system. iPads and Android tablets just don’t cut it sometimes when you need to run real desktop software. If you want a small tablet that runs full Windows, this one does it.Windows 11 looks amazing. I’m mostly a Mac guy having left Windows after MS messed around with the start button and tiles with Windows 8. I had tried to come back a couple times here and there, but 8 and 10 seemed so dated after having switched to Mac. Windows 11 changes that for me and makes me open to coming back to Windows. It’s beautiful and modern. They’ve removed a lot of the old Control Panel options that came from XP a long time ago, so that’s good. Some are still there I discovered, but for the most part settings is greatly improved…. Windows 11 is great, but not great enough to make this tablet a keeper.THE BADReally, Microsoft? A goofy proprietary charger? Not sure if the USB-C port just doesn’t take a charge or if mine is defective, but I couldn’t get a charge with my MacBook Pro USB-C charger/cable or Samsung S21 Ultra charger. Instead, mine only charges with MS’s proprietary charger which means now I’m hauling around yet another charger and cable wherever I go instead of just one USB-C charger for all devices.I could almost live with that inconvenience, but what I can’t live with is the speed. I understand that there are other Surfaces that have better/faster specs, but they are also bigger. I wanted a small and capable Windows tablet, but alas this one is only small. This may be an unfair comparison, so take this with a grain of salt, but I happened to get a new iPad Mini 6 the same day. I unboxed and fired up both at the same time and was up and running on the iPad in a quarter of the time even with Apple’s annoying Apple ID Fort-Knox password verifications. The Surface was slow out of the gate. At first I thought the touch screen didn’t work because when prompted for the usual username stuff, the keyboard would not appear….. oh wait, it did…. just 2-3 seconds AFTER taping on the text box.I thought maybe I was doing something wrong since I’ve never used Windows tablet before, but eventually it became apparent that the tablet was so extremely slow that even typing text would have serious lag. Then there’s the usual and annoying Windows updates. Oh well, just part of the ecosystem, but geez! It took 45 minutes from unboxing to being able to even check out the desktop.I downloaded some desktop stock brokerage programs and they took forever to open. So slow. These aren’t super resource heavy programs like Photoshop. They are fairly simple, yet they were just too slow to be usable for quick stock market trading.CONCLUSIONSo beautiful but just too slow for me. The touchscreen seems finicky and programs take forever to load and use. If MS comes out with a supped up version of this, I would definitely take another look. But if this is as fast as it can run, it’s a hard pass. I’d hate to see the tablets with lesser processors.Buy if speed isn’t a concern. Pass if you value your time.

Don’t listen to YouTube. This isn’t a gaming PC, but it is a capable tablet
I decided to get the i3 version, and it arrived before the type cover did. So I got to first experience it without the keyboard that every single YouTuber just slaps onto the thing and proceeds to review it as if it was a gaming laptop because OF COURSE you can’t do anything without the type cover…The reality is, Windows Setup was plenty easy to do with just the touch screen. Not only that, but I actually use it without the type cover most of the time. Windows 11 will pop up a keyboard on screen when you tap a text box if you don’t have one connected, just like Android and iPadOS. I bought this to replace an old Android tablet that hasn’t been supported in years, and the iPad just doesn’t cut it.My only real complaint with it is battery life. Battery life is better than most Windows laptops, but not as good as an ARM-based device. Battery Saver helps a lot, and I have mine set to default to using Battery Saver whenever its unplugged. I also recommend turning off anything that starts at boot. I get about 5-6 hours by doing this, and it charges quickly. There is also some lag, but for a tablet that can do this much in this form factor, and can double as a true laptop, I am OK with that. All in all, if you’re looking for a tablet that can do more than the iPad Air, this is a solid choice.

I have a Microsoft surface go 3 for about 1 month and its already with a bug. I just stops whenever it wants. Very slow system (i had Apple- The fastests and Samsung – fast but with many bugs). If you want something portable to use as your computer Just for small Jobs like Word, Internet and staff, it Just does not work! You wont be able to download many programs you used to download with Apple or Samsung running Windows S. But, above that, my system, with Just 1 month of use Just broke and i had to reset everything. Do Not Buy!
I purchased this to use just as a tablet, as I already have a PC. This device runs so slowly that I cant even believe they sell this product. It is almost unusable. If you have any ambition of doing any type of work on this tablet, you are out of luck. Even the simplest of programs take a couple minutes to open up, and don’t even think about running two apps at the same time. It freezes constantly, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I live in the Caribbean, and it was such a terrible useless purchase that I paid the $150 shipping just to return it because I literally found absolutely nothing I could do on it, and I wasted time typing out this giant review. I now purchased a galaxy s7 for less money, and it does everything I want and works flawlessly.

I did not choose used, I chose new. But it came Amazon certified refurbished. The charger is also incomplete. I only have the cord that connects to the device, not to the outlet. Perfect.. almost
It’s a fully featured PC that’s the same size and weight as any apple or android tablet. And cheaper. Say goodbye to phone o/s and app stores, and hello to full feature software and peripherals. Just one design flaw, and it’s a big one. The single USBC port is not Thunderbolt. So if you use those 7 in 1 hubs, computer work is fine but even a single tv video output chops at 1080p. Instead there is this crazy magnetic strip connector thing, complete with flashing lights on the cable. It’s used for optional charging, and only the $200 MS branded dock supporting dual monitors. Proprietary connectors are just astonishing these days. So if you want to be able to connect to a TV and stream video, be warned

I did not get the memory I chose. Needs more ports.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!! It would be just that much better if I could plug even just one flash drive while charging or if there was a multi port that clips on similar to the newer models, it needs a couple USB’s AND the charging port, plus it needs to be able to reach over a protective shell to plug in as I couldn’t use the multi-port (Clip on) I purchased as the shell obstructs it’s connection. Several times as I’ve been typing and paused for some reason it would continue to enter different key strokes and the cursor would bounce around the document so when I started typing again I’d be at some other random point on the document. But I really do LOVE the MS Surface Go 3. Oh Yea!!! when I ordered my Surface Go 3 I selected the higher memory option (I believe) it was 16G & 156G but when it came it only had the lower memory 8G & 64G this did upset me quite a bit as it should be quicker.

Newer than my last one.
This is my 2nd Surface Go – I bought my first one when M$ first released it (2018?), and I still use it. I like tablets that are 10″ or so. Of the Surface family, this is my 5th. M$ has managed to get this hardware right. It’s a tablet that has a real Windows OS in it, that can either be restricted to using the M$ store, or may be “opened up” to allow it the ability of downloading from anywhere. I prefer the freedom of the latter. If there’s one thing that I don’t like about it, it’s the lack of ports – just has one USB-C on the side and a microSD slot almost hidden in the back. I bought a mini “docking station” to accompany the Surface Go 3 with me on vacation. Adding the keyboard cover, stylus (a knock-off), and a BT mouse, completes the travel ensemble.

While they don’t say it’s new in the description, it does not say refurbished. The box clearly has “Certified Refurbished” stamped on the microsoft packaging. Runs the ubuntu ‘app’ well. Left it on my car roof and it flow off into the street from 6′ high and then actually got RUN OVER by a camry (front wheel) and was fine. For actual real. I use a standard pyrex screen protector, which broke into a million pieces but the surface screen and the keyboard work there is only SLIGHT damage to the back of the keyboard. These tablets are a life saver if you want a reasonably priced tablet that has full PC capabilities (albeit a little slow) in an ultra-portable, ultra-tough form. Thank you MS!

Stability issues
I had stability issues with windows on this tablet. I wanted the tablet to take notes in class. The first day in the middle of class it flashed a few times and then gave me the “blue death screen” before restarting. I had issues running MS teams. I couldn’t get Teams to pull up anymore so I tried a factory reset of the tablet. When I was trying to reset up the tablet I couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi because the touch screen keyboard wouldn’t show up. I gave up on the tablet at this point. I’ve replaced it with an iPad and it works so much better and smoother. I’ve had no issues and the Apple Pencil works create for taking notes. MS office actually runs better on an iPad! The IPad was cheaper, $329, but the pencil is $100 bucks so the prices even out. Should’ve bought the iPad to begin with

wait for discount
I have used surface go since its introduction after switching from Surface Pro because of weight.I have upgraded to the newer version every time.it is slow compare to IPad but IPad does not allow some desktop function so I am stuck using Surface Go when I mustit is still 25% heavier than iPad pro.in short, iPad pro is better in every possible way except it does not offer desktop capabilitieswait n only buy when it is discounted

Great little tablet
I’ve wanted one of these for years, and this price was perfect. It’s a wonderful little tablet.

NOT Actually A New Surface GO 3!
Works as intended BUT IS NOT a Surface Go 3. I was delivered a Surface GO 2 with that appears to be refurbished with a GO 3 chipset installed.

Not compatible with Amazon app store
I purchased this because win 11 can run android apps. It turns out that is not entirely true. This runs a Pentium gold 6500y processor with 8 gig of ram 128 gig SSD. When I try to download the Amazon app store I receive a message stating the processor is not compatable. Therefore you cannot run android apps.. You can’tcan’teven side load Android apps . My surface pro 7 does run them just fine. Shame on Microsoft for not stating this.

NOT FOR ART
Pinching to zoom results in small dots ALL OVER your drawing. Using a pen results in the palm cancellation glitching and forcing lines going back and forth all over your drawing 50% of the time. Using a pen will randomly delete your last 20 strokes 30% of the time. DO NOT ADVERTISE AS A DRAWING DEVICE IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE ANY QUALITY CONTROL WITH DRAWING ON IT!!!!!! Now that I have experienced what this tablet has to offer, I would never spend more than $100 on it. It’s a very slow, downgraded computer with touch screen that only reliably works with your fingers. No reason to get this over the cheapest laptops available. (Edit- Addition: The store let’s you browse all Microsoft apps- most of which the processor can’t handle but won’t tell you that until you try to install it. Most of your time will go to figuring out which 1% of apps your device can actually install)

It is ok for a tablet
I use it without keyboard or mouse for portability. Touch screen is ok but sometimes difficult to use. Performance is ok but not very fast. Battery life is several hours but less than iPad. Proprietary plug required to charge; should be USB-C.

NOT NEW
Check you packing! Site said new and I have previously purchased one and had zero issues with it. The two I ordered are refurbished and had a sticker over the label! Right after opening on tablet it got extremely hot. Return both of them the next day! Shame on Amazon!
