    Fan of surface pro.

    I have been a fan of the Surface Pro. This is my 2nd one, upgraded from Surface Pro 4. Very fast, high quality display, fast processor the latest one I ordered has triple the storage and 4 times the memory. Convenient when traveling. Already had the keyboard cover, only gripe about this product is you have to pay $100+ for the keyboard that was made for it. Also purchased small docking station and a monitor. For working on it, have full sized keyboard, mouse and monitor. Also, when docked and working from home, have dual monitors, the devices monitor and an external monitor. Works well for what I use it for.Note, I picked the 6 over the 7 because I had read the pro 6 has better battery life then 6. Reviews state pro 7 is faster. But this seemed like a much better deal then what you can get currently with pro 7, core i7, 16 GB ram and 512 GB. For the same price, to get pro 7, I would have to get it, 8 gb ram and 240 gb storage.

    Wonderful device

    I’ve owned large “workhorse” laptops in the past (architecture 3d modeling software), and this is my first foray into small, truly portable laptops, and I couldn’t be happier. I did a lot of reading, visited a box store to put hands on devices and talk to sales associates about what I wanted to get out of this…I chose the 6, over the 7 and the X, for two primary differences: 1) Less expensive for identical touchscreen quality (I used my savings to buy higher RAM), and 2) has good ol’ USB 2.0, which is what my stylus uses to charge – that convenience is very important, I think. I’m pretty sure 7 and X eliminated 2.0 and only provide 3.I’ve been doing lots of sketching – my first experience with digital sketching – and have been thrilled. Really nice machine.

    This is the Cornerstone of My Command Center

    I run 2 multi-national companies from home. That means I need to work in sometimes small places, on the road, and quickly set up for online meetings as well as have the power to process data, update my websites, and record and edit video. I’ve had this computer for about a year. It replaced my Surface Pro 4 and before that, I had a Pro 2. I will not go without my Surface. It integrates easily with TVs, android, Kindle Fire, and projectors to extend screen with little fuss. I use EVERY feature of the machine. I wouldn’t trust doing business with any other device as my Command Center.

    It doesn’t come with a keyboard

    It’s a bit of a learning curve without the keyboard (and the touch screen is a little glitchy at times), but overall I think it was a good purchase. The battery lasts about 5 hours, which is a little less than I’d hoped for, but I can live with that.

    You get what you pay for, and in this case, it’s money well spent

    I can’t say enough about this computer. I’ve been in the computer business for 50 years ever since computers first arrived on the Horizon. I have never in my career bought a store-bought computer, I have always Built My Own. But when I saw this one had a client office how powerful it was is Sleek light, and fully packed I couldn’t resist. I have never been sorry. I use it every single day at clients and nothing could be more handy than this computer. Yes is pricey but very, very worthwhile and money well spent

    Great portability…SUPER poor battery life.

    Love the device, HATE the battery life or lack of. Took device to recent professional development seminar in Vegas and was barely able to make it through a single session on full charge. Runs all software I could ask for including Adobe Creative Cloud software. Would recommend with the stress on being near an outlet.

    Not worth the price

    I am so not happy with this purchase.I find it to not be user friendly at all. I wanted to switch from my iPad, and it is not worth it. The apps I want, are not available, and if they are, they come with add ons that are not what I want.The pen is not user friendly at all, it doesn’t point where I want it to, and more times then not, doesn’t open what I want it to.The fabric covered keyboard already is holding small marks, as I don’t have a sleeve yet. Just another thing that I need to purchase separately.Plus the fact that I spent $1600 on this, and the office suite of software doesn’t come with it is another issue that I have.I feel like I have just wasted a lot of money. I wanted to like this, but don’t and wish that I had not opened the box, so I could send it back.Please think twice before purchasing this.

    False Advertising

    While the product was the correct model and specifications advertised the device I purchased was labeled as new and the device I got was not. The box it arrived in was in poor shape and all the seals broken. The device did not have the plastic cover that comes when it is new and had fingerprints and dust all over the screen. Also, the charger (also previously opened and shoved in the box) was the wrong power output for this model (44W vs 65W). While I got the device that I thought I was getting the condition of NEW was anything but and had the wrong power adapter included. Happy and not happy at the same time.

    Love mine

    I love this. I know it’s got reviews with complaints about certain things. The only thing it used to do was flicker when plugged in for a while but I havent seen that in over a month. It does everything I need it to from video editing, to drawing, to note taking and even light gaming. The sound is great and I love watching shows or YouTube videos on it. It’s also great for reading a kindle book.

    Okay but frequency of CPU get stuck at 0.4 GHz after 1.5 month!

    I’ve been using it for one and half month. In most cases it’s working well. But somehow today the frequency of CPU get stuck at 0.4 MHz and things going really really slow. I googled this issue and it seems that many people saw this issue and the reason is that some sensor of this laptop is not working well. I could bring bring the frequency of CPU back by disabling sensor but I still feel disappointed that how could such a new laptop have some problem like this.

    Bad quality control

    This product was very disappointing. My daughter and I each bought one at the same time. I ordered hers with mine in the same order so they came from the same batch. They both were defective which doesn’t say much for quality control. My screen kept going psychedelic on me. It looked like a Jackson pollock painting. My daughters touch screen kept stopped working. The battery life for both was not as advertised and they both got to hot to touch. Considering how much they cost there should have been better quality control. We returned them and bought the IPad Air they both worked perfectly!

    Computer is fine but Package was a bait and switch

    The computer is great but I purchased this around prime day and it was fullfilled by amazon. When I received the item I was setting it up and noticed the HD was a bit small. I then noticed I was shipped an i7 8gb RAM/ 256gb storage model when I had paid for the 16/512 version. What was worse was the box had the proper sticker.I would rate the machine a 5 but receiving the wrong item and Amazon Support not being able to do anything besides a refund/return I can only ethically give this a 1.

    Disappointing and Hard to Use

    I have a Microsoft Surface pro 6 with i7 processor, 16gb ram, 256gb hard drive. I bought this computer hoping to draw, with the newest stylist, and do general writing on Word. I also use it for photo editing using Affinity culling through over 3,000 photos. Overall, I have found the machine difficult to use with the programs I like. (Affinity, Art Rage, Adobe sketchbook, and Word mostly. I also use the photo program that comes with the machine).For drawing I find the Apple Pro outperforms this machine. The combination of the Apple Pro and it’s Apple pencil work better, is more accurate, and gives the user a more artistic feel. For working in Affinity Photo, Krita Art or other large art programs, the icons on the programs are so small that I can’t see them. Literally, there are so many commands shown on the screen that the print is micro-sized. As I write this review, the print is micro-sized as well. I have not had super small print problems on other laptops.The one game I’ve tried to play on this machine, is The Operational Art of War 4 from Matrix games. This is a fairly intensive game that uses a lot of computer power, but the makers have figured out how to run it on normal computers with 4 gigs or less RAM and far less speed than my Surface pro 6 has; nonetheless, the game would not play on the Surface Pro. I downloaded it on an older computer with much less RAM and a lesser chip and the game ran fine. I tried loading the game onto the Surface several times, and completely erasing the game each time before the download, but it still fails to run the war game.The keyboard is very good. The pressure on the keys is almost perfect and I have not had the trampoline problems others have reported. The keyboard is thin but works well.One major complaint is the pad in the center of the palm rest. I don’t know how it works but it doesn’t work anything like the pad on a previous Apple laptop. A very, very light tap seems to trigger the command, and a strong push that causes the pad to click doesn’t do anything. Tough for me to figure out. I have attached a normal cheap mouse and that works fine.Using the Surface pen (stylist) doesn’t make things any better except when freehand drawing. It does work like your finger on the screen when scrolling, but trying to hit a small command box is harder than using the mouse. In drawing, I feel the stylist is nowhere near as good as the Apple pencil.Overall, the Surface is a disappointment. I bought the fastest, strongest machine I could so runing the photo programs and the art programs would be easy.. However, the programs do not run well on the Surface pro 6, the pen is hard to use for drawing, and the drawing programs have problems the pen does not overcome. Even the Word program is glitchy, in that, I have lost portions of my documents instantly… and without explanation. Out of nowhere I lost two thirds of a long review while I was right in the middle of typing a sentence. No explanationl from Microsoft, and others have complained. This might not be a problem restricted to the Surface, but I’ve never experienced this difficultly before I started with the Surface and I have not had the problem with any other machine.AD2

    Could have been better for the price

    Good computer. Fast and the booting time is less than 5 seconds. Good facial recognition, runs games decently, and plays videos well. Good for office work, video and photo editing, and some leisure activity. Some drawbacks:-only comes with 4 little inputs- one USB port, one mini display port, a charger port, and a headphone jack. It would be a lot more suitable for my liking if it had just an HDMI port, USB type- C, and another USB port but then again, it could be simple and acceptable for someone else.-runs pretty hot after 20 minutes of use-wish it would include a keyboard and pen for a fairer price- another big thing, don’t know how anyone can get more than 3-4 hours of battery life on this thing. Even on battery saving mode, the battery is less than adequate and is TOTALLY not at all what they proclaimed it to be. I thought I may have had received a defective unit but it looks like many others have the same issue. realistically, the SP6s seem, to range between 3 to 5 hrs when unplugged.

    Great product, better results

    Bought this for my cousin and he is absolutely loving it. The screen has great resolution and the battery life is much better than expected. It can run pretty much any program that a normal computer could and its packability is just a cherry on top.

    I love my Surface Pro. I have bought four of them. One was an upgrade — more memory. One I dumped ginger ale on. One I dropped — those two were on me. I bought one in September that, within 90 days, the kickstand broke. Amazon told me to send it back, and they would credit my account. I immediately bought another. I am an artist and this computer seriously meets my needs. It is small enough to take anywhere, I love the touchscreen, and I can run three heavy programs at the same time without a hiccup. That said, when I sent it back the seller contacted me and told me no refunds after 30 days. Amazon stepped in and took the hit — many thanks to Amazon. Hopefully they can recoup their money from the manufacturer, which is what the seller should have done, but did not want to deal with. If there is a choice, go with another seller.EDIT: I am done with Surface Pros. The latest one just quit working after nine months.

    Finally some real competition to the iPad.This thing is great and powerful. Boots up in no time.The hardware keyboard is a must and so is the MS folding mouse.Unfortunately they are all separate items to buy.

    Died within 6 months

    I bought this surface for light use. I have a large computer upstairs where I do more intensive work. It worked very well for 6 months. Three days I came in from the garden turned the Surface on it flickered, came on for a moment and died. It was plugged in so I know it was fully charged and I had used it earlier in the morning. It has never come back on. I reached out to the seller and to Amazon to see if there was any recourse. Of course, neither would offer any help. Yes, I know 6 months is well past the normal return policy but a $1400.00 item should continue to work well past 6 months. My suggestion is if you are going to buy a Surface or any pricey item use paypal since they have a 180 day return/complaint policy.

    Dont buy this Computer

    Worst Surface pro EVER!! DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER!! The internet connection is terrible also and the biggest problem of all, the mouse pad only works 45% of the time, very fraustrating. I have sent in back for warranty repair and I still have the same issue, up graded drivers, tried different drivers, nothing works and MS wont even talk to you about it. I have two other surface pro, a two and a 4, they work good, dont have this problem with them.

    2-in-1 laptop/tablets are an unsatisfactory compromise in their attempt to be both.

    Microsoft Surface Pro 6 -I bought mine, yesterday. I already hate it, despite its rave reviews.The shortcoming with every 2-in-1 laptop/tablet, including this one, is the inherent compromise in trying to be all things to all people.If you need a laptop, then buy a laptop. If you need a tablet, then buy a tablet. If you need both, then buy both. But don’t think that owning a 2-in-1 is an adequate substitute for either or both.I have 30 days to get a refund. So, I will keep it in new condition.I don’t regret buying it, however, because there is no way to know what you need in the way of computer equipment, other than to buy it and try it.It is all part of the learning experience that cannot be achieved, just from reading buyer reviews without trying it.

    Best Surface Yet

    Amazing product for what it is. If your mobile and need plenty power and versatility this is for you. I have the i7, 16gb Ram, 512gb memory. She runs lightening fast, plenty power, and stays cool. I have been putting it through the paces and I realize it runs better the longer I run it. Brilliant rich vibrant screen (not very great in day light though). I only wish there was USB-C. All else brilliant.

    Don’t buy

    Crappiest laptop on the market. Nothing but troubles since purchasing brand new Surface Pro 6 last semester of 2019. The Microsoft keyboard’s touch screen is malfunctioning.Too many upgrades to fix the bugs on the computer. Paid a $1,000 for the whole damn thing.

    MS SP6 i7 16gb 512sshd- Insanely Awesome

    I’ve had my SP6 for 6 months and decided to write a review:Excellent performance, battery life (on powersaver, BT mouse connected, web, office apps) is at least 9hrs, boot time is 9 seconds, shutdown is 6 seconds, connected to a 4k 32in ultrawide via Surface Doc (performs like a powerhouse computer), for real world usage the SP6 performs better than specs would indicate. If you are looking for a premium, reliable, good looking, lightweight powerhouse the MS Surface product line incredible. A little pricey but worth it. This is my 2nd Surface Pro, the products themselves hold up v well over time (battery life, performance, resolution etc.), I decided to change out my SP3 not because there was anything wrong but it seemed to make sense to upgrade and have a viable backup system.
