WIFI Issue. Had to change router settings.
I like some others couldn’t get this light to connect to my wifi using Alexa. And YES, it needs wifi regardless what some have said. But it should get the password from Alexa from when you set up your Echo. If it asks you over and over again for your wifi password during setup, but then fails, your router settings may need changed.At first I couldn’t connect this bulb. After I gave up I then tried to connect a Ring camera and I had the same issue. Ring wouldn’t connect to my wifi.This bulb needs a 2.4GHz connection on your wireless router. Ring’s troubleshooting helped me. I made three changes to my settings. I simplified my 2.4GHz ID and Password. Took out all special characters. Only used numbers and uppercase and lowercase characters. Third thing I changed, and what I believe solved my problem, was that I changed my router channel from “auto” (which at the time it was using channel 2) and I switched the channel setting to “6”. Per Ring’s help guide, it suggested using channels 1, 6 or 11. Also, before I made these changes I had switched my Echo from the 5GHz connection to the 2.4GHz connection.After making those three changes the Sengled light bulb connected using the Alexa app and never asked for wifi connection or password. It was automatic. My Ring connected also after changing my router settings.I hope this helps someone else.

Great Light For Many Colors
The Sengled LED Smart Light Bulb is a great bulb that works very good with Alexa. When I got the bulb, I put the power on the bulb and Alexa auto connected to the bulb. I then went into the app to rename it and put it in the correct room it is in. The different colors that this bulb can do is amazing. Just ask Alexa to “dim the light” or “chage the light blue.” It is so easy and I loved to add this light bulb to my smart home collection. If your looking for a easy instalation and a bulb that has many colors and works with Alexa, then this is the one for you!

Color changes are simple and Alexa loves it
We are so late to the Smart House game, it’s not even funny.But, a few weeks ago, I got an Amazon Echo and away we went.The Echo showed up within a day or two but this light bulb – part of the package – showed up a week later.Yesterday, I plugged it in.We have one lamp in our living room on a smart outlet, and use an app to turn it on and off.Cool.Except, it’s not cool for the family members who want to turn it on or off and can’t because they don’t have the app.So, now that they know and accept Alexa in our home, we are fixing that.I added the lightbulb to that lamp yesterday.My phone found it pretty quickly and added it.We just sort of stood there looking at my phone, wondering what to do next, oblivious that Alexa was already welcoming the bulb to our home and giving it permissions.Soon, Alexa referred me to my phone and something popped up and told me to tell alexa to “turn first lamp on”. So, I did that. And it turned on.My husband stood there, looking around.I told Alexa to make the lamp color Red, and the light changed to Red. Then I said to go Purple. And it went Purple. And so on through every basic color, including orange.I then told Alexa to turn the lamp back to white and await my next command.She said, “Okay.”My husband is now more convinced than ever that I’m a witch.

Great multi-colored LEF light
I like this light. I wish it had a few more lumens, but overall it is nice to have it controlled by Alexa and to be able to alter the color in any way I wish. The old light was a bright white that was almost blue, this light can be altered to different shades of white in addition to any other color you can think of. I like a softer yellower light that is easier on the eyes. With this light I can have my pick of many different shades of white and if I want to play around I can have it any other color I wish.

Matter bulbs connect to Echo/Google Home/HomePod. Not Wi-Fi. That’s the point.
If you’re unable to connect these bulbs to Wi-Fi, well, that’s because they don’t connect to Wi-Fi. Imagine that!Follow the instructions. Connect to your matter-enabled controller of choice (Alexa, Google, Apple). Then let the controller take care of the rest, and your Wi-Fi router will thank you for not giving it more work to babysit every lightbulb in your house.

Alexa has issues
I can rate the light bulbs as excellent. The price here on Amazon? Way to high. You can get way better deals at your local Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot and other stores. Amazon is quickly becoming the high price leader. Not very happy with the Alexa app with these lights. Going to try Google instead. I expect Google will be much better.

Pairs seamlessly with Alexa
I received this bulb/lamp for free for buying an Echo Show. Since I am a nerd, albeit a retiree, I have been pleasantly to surprised by the ease of use via Alexa on the Echo Show. Being able to turn the lamp on/off, or adjust the brightness or color via voice is convenient (and fun). This has lead me configure 8 of my smart plugs in Alexa. Using the Alexa software I have created a group for our holiday decor. It is nice that anyone in the house can quickly control things. The bad news is that I’ll likely buy more smart devices, like the Echo Dot w/clock that I just ordered.

Got it free with a 5th gen echo. Full color range, dims fine, plug-and-play. If you’re leery of a similar one, this seems like a solid peice. No stupid hub either. I actually have it integrated with my security, so I see a red, yellow, or green light depending on what was tripped. Lot handier than I thought.

This lightbulb is awesome! It works like a regular bulb, but when I tell Alexa to change the color it will. It can even give lighter blues and darker blues by telling Alexa to lighten or darken the colors. I believe every imaginable color even gray is available.

Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2023I got this bulb free in a bundle with an awesome Echo Spot, which has changed my kitchen life. I’ve had smart bulbs in the past that were a PITA to install, but I checked the box when I purchased to pre-install with Amazon Alexa, and it was a piece of cake to get the lightbulb working. I was a bit disappointed that it doesn’t seem to lend itself to recognizing when someone walks into a room or leaves; I wanted it use it in the kitchen so at night when we come in to get a snack or a drink it would turn on, then turn off. Unless I just don’t understand, it doesn’t work for that. But I’ve set it up to turn on and off at set times when we’re going to need it and that should work fine as well. I paired it with my Echo Spot in the kitchen.

They do the trick
I’m not sure if its our internet(doubt it though, we upgraded that a while ago) but they sometimes disconnect or one randomly disconnect while the others works fine in sync and you have to go into the app and reset them from time to time which can be annoying. over all great product love them for when we have parties or special occasions to set the moods. easily connected with Alexa just read the instructions and follow it in order you should be good to go!

Works great but not very bright
Easy to use, works great with my Alexa Show and the Alexa app. Love that I can control the lights from anywhere, especially considering I have a teenager that constantly forgets to turn the lights out. My only issue is that even at the highest level its just not very bright at all. I will get a higher wattage next time. It says its the same as a 60 watt but its not even close to as bright as a real 60 watt. Other than that, the product is great.

Works well but…
This smart light bulb works fine but I don’t like that it doesn’t support fade in and out transitions. When you turn it on it is so abrupt that it kinda annoys me. For the rest it is good, really easy and fast to set up.

No third party app needed
These are by far the best smart bulbs I’ve used. They automatically connect to the alexa app. No linking or anything. I screwed it in and Alexa found it and asked me what I wanted to name it. Also, it automatically reconnects when somebody (Not Blaming Wife) turns the switch off instead of asking alexa. By far these are the least headache easiest smart bulbs I have ever used.

Very cool
Very cool paired with Alexa. I didn’t use the app with the light bulb. Alexa recognizes the bulb easy without a special plug. You can then rename the light to what you want, control the brightness level or color, turn off or on. All can be done with voice thru Alexa or within the Alexa app.

Let there be light!
We use this light to turn on in the house so the dogs won’t be in the dark. If we are not home when the sun goes down, we can simply ask Alexa through our phones to turn the light on. We don’t come home to a pitch black house and the dogs have some light. Works perfectly.

Didn’t know I needed
This bulb was added to Christmas order of gifts for grandsons. I added to Alexa app; easy set up… voice control for lights on or off, dimmed, different colors. I’ll probably buy more especially for my kitchen & bedroom lamps.

Keep telling me that I need a hub. I downloaded the matter app on my phone and still saying the same thing. I don’t know what is a hub, I bought it and the Alexia together so I thought they should be working together and not telling me that I need a hub.

Always excellent
Purchased cheaper ones before. Don’t go cheap if you use and change colors a lot. Go with this brand and you won’t go wrong

Only works with 2.5 ghz WiFi. Could not get it to recognize my wifi
This bulb would not recognize my WiFi. I did get it to work with the app on my iPhone and with Alexa. I like the light and it works well with app and Alexa. I have a KASA any it works with my WiFi.

Light bulb and eco pop
Got this as a set at a much cheaper price. My granddaughter absolutely loves it!
