    A must have

    I recently had to switch up my home office and needed to connect to a larger monitor. The Surface is just too small for me to work on day to day. This adapter was exactly what I needed to connect. Works very well for my needs.

    WARNING!!! Description & Image Don’t Match Actual Product

    I have a Surface Laptop 2 and recently bought this «DisplayPort to HDMI» cable to connect to an external monitor. Upon receiving the package, I waited 4-5 days roughly, it turned out to be a USB 3.0 Gigabyte Ethernet Extender/Adapter Cord. Now looking into the product description it shows ethernet, and USB YET it still promotes the product as a USB 2.0 DisplayPort to HDMI cable which is very misleading. It even has a picture to go alongside it. I trusted the product as it came directly from Microsoft but it seems like I shouldn’t have.Ultimately I returned this product and will be purchasing it through BestBuy since they have the proper item and the details match it. A lesson is to be learned;1. Read carefully.2. This product needs to be updated to reflect what the customer is buying.

    Does the job

    I used the adapter to go from the Mini DisplayPort on my Surface to an HDMI cable. It worked fine but the connection to the Surface was a little loose, pressure/tension on the table could cause it to lose contact. Otherwise it was fine.

    Wrong Part Received

    Had to ask for a refund due to receiving the wrong part. There are two part numbers referenced in the product information section. The correct part number (EJR-00002) is referenced. The problem I believe is due to the item model number (EJT-00001) being incorrect. EJT-00001 is a mini-display port to HDMI adapter. I received two mini DP to HDMI adapters which I returned. I reordered the part again before I found the incorrect model number, so I may be getting the wrong parts again tomorrow. Hopefully this gets noticed and corrected before I wind up with the wrong parts again. Not really complaining here, just trying to help clean up the system. 👍

    Adapter appears to be used

    When I received the item it appeared dirty with scratches on it. This is the second Microsoft Surface Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter I have purchased, the first one I purchased from Microsoft directly and it was exactly as described, I needed another one for a second display and it was a few dollars cheaper on amazon.

    Arrived on time. Took it out of the box. Hooked it up to an ethernet cable from my router and to my Surface Pro; turned on the Surface Pro and voila! Internet! No other set up needed!

    Wrong item received…. similar to other reviews. Product name and picture (display port to hdmi adaptor) is different from the product description (usb 3 gigabit Ethernet adaptor). I expected the hdmi adaptor but got the Ethernet adaptor instead.

    my surface system has issues with different connector I bought on amazon for low prices. Decided to go with oem and didnt had issue after that. Worth the price with quality of connection time.

    Speed is the same as wi-fi.

    I bought this thinking that it would be a better connection to the internet than wi-fi. I have a 1.5-gigabit ethernet modem, but when this connected to my Microsoft Surface Pro 4, it only gave the same performance as wi-fi. On the other hand, with the same modem, when my iMac is connected directly by the ethernet port, the speeds are gigabit speeds.

    I have a similar Microsoft Surface Ethernet Adapter. I am able to image a computer using Mac id.With this one, it does not allow me to boot using mac id.

    Wrong photo leads to mismatched shipment

    The product description says Ethernet adapter yet the photo is an HDMI adapter… an HDMI adapter was shipped – not happy with this purchase. The seller should update either the description or the photo to match the article being sold.
